This is definitely full of locals who visit the kitchen and sing happy birthday to a server. Prices are reasonable and the food hearty. Great choice for a solid breakfast.

Ok. If you're Canadian you're probably good with it. American food - as the description? No. Service? Meh. No refills. The food wasn't just BAD - just not Wow. So, not 1 Star - but not more than 2. Regularly high Canadian prices too if you are used to eating breakfast in the States.

Cute little place to eat breakfast, overall the visit was good. The food was very good, but a bit pricey for what you get. The medium plate was $9.25 you only received 1 egg, 3 small slices of bacon and a handful of hashbrowns. Luckily the bread they had (7 grain) was delicious and made the plate worth it. The service was good, it took a while to get our food but understandable since there was a tour bus there. Overall, it was a 4 star, yes I recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

Avoid at all cost! This place moved from its original location down the street and the food and service has gone down hill. I recall two ladies ran this place and the food and service was hot and quick. They have two dining rooms and the front room gets all the service while the back is forgotten. Patron cleaned tables and served their own coffee. At some point I had has enough and walked up front to ask if I needed to order my food up front. Once that happened one male server came back and took our order. Thank goodness I grabbed a few menus and shared with the tables around us. Once of the tables in the back had to pick up their own order from the kitchen window. Yeah, that's how bad it was. Another table asked the waiter when he will be taking their order and he began to say that there are people in front still eating for them to take their order. Which we suspect was a lie. All the people in the front were eating. If you need breakfast go to the hotel or find another place. But avoid The lumber jack at all cost. You'll thank me.

Came for breakfast (limited) in the off season (October) and were very short handed. Had to wait to get Coffee, finally had to get up to tell them to refill my cup. Also waitress never came around to see if everything was ok or needed anything . Only come here if you have a lot of time to spare...you'll need it when you come here.
